My new favorite wild edible! Mineral rich, full of saponins, and a demulcent, it is the perfect spring detox herbal ally. Chickweed helps to shed winter weight and heal up any stagnant inflammation in the gut. Identify them by their 5 tiny white flowers petals (that look like 10 petals because they are so deeply notched), 5 sepals hold the flower and the stem is slightly hairy. Leaves are green ovals with a point at the end, growing opposite on the stem. When wild harvesting remember to only take 10% of the plant!
